What better way to recall the Golden Age of Rail than by showcasing the machinery that once helped make it all happen? The motion of the gears and wheels harkens back to the engine rooms of yesteryear while the 80 hours of power reserve provided by the RailRoad Skeleton Auto belongs firmly to the modern day.Ī glimpse into the heart of a timeless timepiece Speaking of precision, the skeletonized designs of Hamilton’s Amercian Classic collection are an homage to its history as ‘The Watch of Railroad Accuracy’ in the nineteenth century. Take the Hamilton Ventura – a watch that came to prominence when it graced the wrist of the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Elvis Presley, in the 1961 movie “Blue Hawaii.” Following the release of the Elvis80 in 2015, the Elvis80 Skeleton Auto traded the iconic triangular watch face for an ultra-modern skeleton look with a lightning bolt zigzag pattern superimposed on the precision mechanism within. These skeleton designs are a nod in the direction of some favorites from the past, offering a new spin on classic designs. For an even subtler effect, consider an open heart watch such as the Jazzmaster Open Heart 42mm Its design gives you a peek behind the curtain while leaving just enough to the imagination. Naturally, a skeleton watch also makes a great all-year-round companion – a versatile choice suitable for any occasion. ![]() Engineering aficionados will be mesmerized by designs that fully reveal the precision components at work behind the scenes. ![]() Not gonna comment on Epic at all, and I will be buying this game via EGS since I have to, but 'you should also hate Valve if you hate Epic' is definitely not sound logic. And I don't even thing them doing Greenlight was bad, it just didn't work very well, but the fact they tried it at all shows they've always been committed to keeping PC gaming as open as possible while also obviously having to care about their business interests. The mess that was Steam Greenlight lasting far longer than it should've is proof positive that Valve never forced anyone to do anything really - that disaster wouldn't have lasted as long as it did if they were trying to create a monopoly. There are a ton of dead launchers and storefronts that died because the player chose to go with Steam, which is very different than Valve forcing a monopoly. But they didn't really do anything to force a monopoly other than develop Steam to be far better than the myriad other options out there. Valve 'forced' people to download Steam for their own games, which I think is pretty fair considering the plans they had for TF2 and creating a centralized hub for their own games. There were a ton of launchers around back in the day, or other options to publish like GOG (who it may surprise some people to know, back in the day were far stricter than Steam about what they'd allow on their platform in extremely dubious ways). ![]() ![]() I'm not gonna share my specific opinions on this, but this person is right - Valve didn't really force a monopoly. ![]() You couldn't do this with just one sound card.ģ) Get a lead, one end will be stereo mini jack which goes into the output of your internal sound card. ![]() You could listen to YouTube while recording on studio one without any issue using different sample rates for instance. Do this by right clicking on the devices.Ģ) For your audio applications (eg studio one) use your Focusrite Scarlett ASIO drivers everywhere. Do you have a spare couple of line inputs.? If so here's what to do.ġ) In windows control panel sounds disable all the input/output drivers everywhere except your internal sound card. You have a focusrite Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 Gen 1. So keep all of your audio device settings consistent across your platforms and projects and you shouldn't run into this problem. The solution here is to either switch your Windows audio interface settings to 16-bit, 48kHz or your Studio One project settings to 16-bit, 44.1 kHz.After discovering this hassle, I decided to make all my projects 16-bit, 44.1 kHz across the board so that I never have to deal with this problem again. BUT: Windows still thinks the audio should be 16-bit 44.1 kHz, so it doesn't like this very much and won't play any audio from youtube or anything. If I have a Studio one Project that's, say, 16-bit, 48kHz, when I open that project my Scarlett will automatically switch to that resolution-I can see this in my Scarlett Mixcontrol software, and a bunch of clicking and popping happens. Rightclick speaker in bottom right corner > Sound Settings > Related Settings > Sound Control Panel > Playback Tab > Click your interface (for example mine is Scarlett 18i20) then click > Properties > Advanced and look at Default Format. A problem I had was a conflict of Windows Audio settings vs my interface audio settings.which could also have to do with your individual project audio settings. |
